Part I Reading ActivityDivide your paper into four quadrants. Each quadrant will have a different approach to the analysis of TKAM.
Quadrant 1: Characterization - List the following characters from TKAM and describe their characteristics. Then provide at least one quote from the story that represents them or exemplifies their characteristics well. This does not necessarily have to be something that the character him/herself says. - Scout - Jem - Atticus - Boo Radley - Dill - Tom Robinson - Miss Maudie (optional) Quadrant 2: Point of View - Describe how point of view impacts the story through part 1. Provide examples of this. Quadrant 3: Important Quotes - Write down 5 key quotes from part 1 and write a 1-2 sentence explanation that tells us why the quote is important or what it means. Quadrant 4: Literary Lenses - Pick 2 of the literary lenses from Process #1 of the argumentative essay and explain how TKAM can be applied to that lens and thus be used as an example in your essay. |
