The final make-up work deadline for the 3rd quarter is Friday, March 18. Please make sure you complete any missing assignments by this date!
Note: Any assignments being counted as part of the 3rd quarter but are due on or after the make-up work deadline will not be accepted late unless you are absent, so be sure to submit work on time. If you happen to be absent, you will have until Wednesday 3/23 to submit assignments that were given out on the day you missed (this does not count assignments that are already past due before your absence on the make-up deadline). If you have any questions, please see me ASAP! The media center has composed a list of some of the most popular and best books, and they are doing a March Madness competition for the books. Go to the following link to vote each day for which books should move onto the next round and eventually which one should be crowned the champ!
http://hhsbookbrackets.weebly.com/ NCDPI is Looking for Student Bloggers
Do you know a high school student who would be interested in contributing to the N.C. Department of Public Instruction’s Student Voices blog? Interested students should submit a 500-700 word blog post about any positive aspect of their public school experience. Possible topics include a favorite teacher, an interesting class or service project or a rewarding experience with a school-sponsored club, initiative or other activity. If selected, the student’s blog post will be featured on NCDPI’s website, promoted through the Department’s social media channels, and included in email newsletters sent to public school personnel and education partners across the state. Blogs should be submitted to NCDPI Communications Specialist Sara Clark. If you have any questions, please contact Sara at 919.807.3458. The first make-up work deadline of the semester is next Friday, February 19. Be sure any work due before this date has been submitted. Anything with a due date before 2/19 will not be accepted after this date.
